Philippe designed this fanciful cottage for his friends, the Luz family.
It stands on the shore of Guatemala's Lake Atitlan, and is made of basalt
rock which was found on-site and cut by hand by local Tzu'tohol Maya masons.
The split-dome roof (with clearstory to let in light) is held up in the back by naturally-occuring boulders on the site.
